TU B'SHEVAT PROGRAM
Wednesday, February 8, 7pm

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly:
Restoring Balance to Aquatic and Terrestrial Ecosystems
Tu B'shevat is an agricultural holiday which reminds us of our duty to the earth and the sacred bond between the people of Israel and the environment they live in. In honor of this holiday, we are pleased to have Paul Dearlove come and speak to us. Paul is a lake manager with the Lake Ripley Management District near Cambridge. He also volunteers as a board member for both the Friends of Lake Wingra and Wisconsin Lakes. Paul will provide an overview of how invasive pests and landscape alterations are affecting the health and quality of our waterways and wildlife communities. Tips will be offered on what YOU can do to help restore some balance to our threatened ecosystems. What a perfect way to mark this holiday and our sacred roles as stewards to our local ecosystems. Please join us!
